Scholarships
for Africans

This
website concentrates on |
You can begin by looking through Google. These search
terms appear to be useful: scholarships
africans -"african american" It will take you some time to go through the search
results. As you look at these, DO NOT engage with anyone who expects a fee
from you. Those are scams. As you have probably learned already, there are
plenty of people who would sell their own families to take advantage of
others. Do not become one of their victims. If you live in Zimbabwe, be sure to visit the country
office for EducationUSA. This link shows you a map.
The office is located in Harare. For other countries, look at the main
EducationUSA link to see if there is a local office. Otherwise, observe the
application instructions given at that link. EducationUSA is a very
comprehensive resource for international and USA students wanting to study
abroad. This search link
may reveal something good, although I have not had a chance to use it yet. Graduate Study in the USA
is a briefing prepared by the US Embassy in Zimbabwe. It offers a very good
description of how to apply and succeed. There is also information on applying
for scholarships. You are
welcome to visit the Embassy’s Public Affairs Office in the Eastgate Shopping
Center in Harare. In addition to their workweek hours (M, T, Th, F
between 1030am-430pm), they also open on the last Saturday of the month
for graduate and working students from 10am-3pm. Africademics Scholarship Directory Compiled by participants of the Africademics Scholarship Ambassador Programme. A spreadsheet showing scholarship opportunities particularly for citizens of Africa. A lot of work went into this spreadsheet. It is a worthy effort and result. My good friend Mrs. Emily Gurupira, a fully-rated
counselor in Zimbabwe (now deceased), was good enough to send me the results of her efforts
in scholarship search. These are given below.

the Chinhoyi University of Technology

additional source is Industrial
